Nice view of my Savage .30-06. Its a 116FSAK, with a fluted stainless barrel and adjustable (on-off) muzzle brake to cut down recoil at the expense of ear-shattering (literally) noise. .30-06 is a tremendously versatile cartridge, though not for the recoil shy. It has terrific ballisticcs for most any European game. It went with me to Africa and took 4 animals there. I still want to replace the plastic stock with a laminated wood one. Yes, I have the wrong leaves in my hat. Herbert grabbed what he could find down the slope until he could get up the top and get a pine branch like we should. I put one in my hat shortly after.
