My Rehbuck (Roe Buck, just like in Sears & Roebuck). He was standing about 75m away, broadside, head up. He apparently was looking across the treeline towards the Fox that Joerg had shot earlier. He stood there alert for quite some time which let me get lined up out the front window for a clean shot through the ribs with a 325 grain FTX from the Marlin. He ran a few meters towards the treeline and collapsed there. He is an older one with long (20 cm/8") antlers that are starting to regress because of his age. They are atypical, with only one side forked and the brow tines now undeveloped. Then again is there such a thing as a "nomal" reh antler? They seem to vary widely. Still, for my first rehbock in Germany, he is a nice one.
