The C3605 was derived from the Swiss piston engine fighter C3603. To get a more power, a Lycoming turboprop engine was mounted on the lengthened nose. This construction from a "recycled" wwII fighter and a modern propulsion was in service to the mid-80s as a target towing tug, explaining the shocking paint scheme.
