Martin B-26 Marauder

Photograph

Despite its reputation as a deathtrap in training schools (One a day in Pensacola Bay; Why is a B-26 like a Florida hooker? Because it has no visible means of support) the Marauder was fast, tough and could carry a lot of ordinance. Like the B-24 (overshadowed by the B-17 despite having 2x the payload, longer range and better equipment), the B-26 was overlooked in favor of its more popular sibling the B-25 Mitchell.
