I thought this fence was cool
Native timber around the Jefferson Visitor Center. The wood had been exposed to the elements so long that the sap was starting to ooze out of the wood. The Visitor's center covers 3 major finds in this area: Monticello, home of Jefferson. Ash Lawn, home of James Monroe, and Michie's (pronounched "Mickey's") Tavern, a historic stagecoach stop that was moved 17 miles in 1927 to become a tourist trap.
