OK, a bit graphic, but this is an example of a good, quick, humane kill. About 85m away, broadside, hit with a .30-06 with 165 grain Nosler Partitions (Thanks Gerry!). Shot entered the right shoulder and disconnected the aorta from the heart, lowering blood pressure instantly and causing an instant death. Dropped where he stood.
