Memorial to the christians who died in the Holocaust. In America much is made of the 6 million Jews who died in Nazi Europe 1933-1945. Rightly so. Another 6 million dead from the same regiem are largely unheralded, including 3 million Polish Catholics, who died in the same camps. Hollywood is not run by Polish Catholics, so no movies are made of this (except Enigma, a British film about code breaking) so the atrocity is unknown in the U.S. This memorial has crosses representing the many thousands taken from Warsaw in rail cars.

Part of the city walls were removed, but much remains. Most cities in Europe were fortified, but eventually the walls were removed after the invention of gunpowder, city expansion, and two world wars.
