The staff of the museum is not crazy about you taking pictures of the David. They got rather testy. The room was positively mobbed with folks. In contrast the majority of the rest of this fabulous museum was sparsely attended. Michelangelo's "David", where it now resides, in the Galleria del Accademia. It originally stood in front of the Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace), but was moved here in the 1800s to preserve it.
