Driving To Firenza
It was a dark and stormy day when we headed out to Firenze (Florence).
As we left it was raining like hell. As we headed further inland, the
rain abated a bit and
we were able to survive. The roads were treacherous in spots.
We followed the secondary road called the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno road
(FI-PI-LI).

Here is a Movie of the gallery of
sculpture
next to where the David resides. Compared to the 100s of people
in
the room around the David, there were maybe 10 in this room. Most
of these are plaster preliminary sculptures, used to frame up the
details
before the whole was executed in marble.
